Youth Swim Lessons
Parent and Tot
Ages 6 to 36 Months | $38 per session
Objective:
Parents are taught techniques and positions to enhance their child’s comfort level in the water. Our center offers a basic lesson that includes teaching water adjustment, body positions, and breath control.
This program is NOT designed to teach children to be accomplished swimmers.
Prerequisite:
A kid (six months to three years old) must be accompanied by an adult.

Swim Levels I to V
Ages 3 to 8 Years Old | $50 per session
Level I: Water Discovery
Objective:
We will help students learn elementary skills and feel comfortable in the water. This program includes breath control, fully submerging head, supported floating, front and back kicking, and becoming familiar with alternating arm action.
Prerequisite:
A kid must be able to sit on the pool steps without a parent.
Level II: Primary Skills
Objective:
We teach basic freestyle and backstroke swimming skills, including kicking, floating, gliding, and arm strokes. This program also introduces rhythmic breathing.
Prerequisite:
A kid must be able to demonstrate full submersion in the water and front & back float unsupported.
Level III: Stroke Modification
Objective:
We teach coordination of basic freestyle and backstroke, jumping into deep water, and bobbing as a form of locomotion. This program introduces diving and reversing direction while swimming.
Prerequisite:
A kid must be able to do unsupported back and front float, standing rhythmic breathing, swim on the front (using combined arm and leg actions) for at least five body lengths, and kick on back for at least five body lengths.
Level IV: Stroke Enhancement
Objective:
This program develops coordination of freestyle and backstroke skills. We also teach basic breaststroke kick and sculling motion as well as introduce side breathing (rotary breathing) and turning at the wall.
Prerequisite:
A kid must be able to enter feet first into deep water as well as do streamline for at least three body lengths, freestyle for 15 yards (with side breathing), and backstroke for 15 yards.
Level V: Stroke Reinforcement
Objective:
We teach breaststroke arm action, butterfly kicks, open turns, and alternate breathing for freestyle. This program also supports the continued development of arm, leg, and breathing coordination in the front and back.
Prerequisite:
A kid must be able to swim underwater for three to five body lengths, dive from a standing position, freestyle for 25 yards, backstroke for 25 yards, breaststroke for 15 yards, and butterfly for 15 yards.

Cancellation Policy: If a participant cannot participate in a swim lesson session and/or child enrichment session he/she is registered for, a “credit” will be issued to use in a different session of the program if notice is given at least one week prior to the first day. There will be no refunds unless class is canceled.
